Independent research
Structure, operators and computational models.
A separate laboratory for exploratory work in mathematics and computation. Claims are tracked with explicit epistemic status rather than presented as more certain than they are.
Featured geometry
E8 root system · Coxeter plane projection
The same object viewed as structure, projection, neighborhood and symmetry. Select a root to inspect its local relationship to the rest of the system.
Loading computed geometry…
Computed geometry is unavailable. The E8 model contains 240 roots arranged in eight shells of thirty points.
All 240 roots and the edges between roots at 60°. Eight shells, thirty points each.
240 roots · 8 shells · Coxeter number 30
Why this is here. The geometry is computed from all 240 E8 roots and projected onto the Coxeter plane. It is a compact example of the same principle used elsewhere on this site: structure first, visual interpretation second, claim status always explicit.

Rank reduction vs. reconstruction error
A small interactive model of the trade-off between discarded structure and reconstruction error.
